Overview: The eufy S40 SoloCam (T8124) is a standalone security camera that can keep an eye on your home 24/7. The camera produces detailed 2K video, and has an integrated solar panel that keeps the battery charged. The camera features 8 GB of onboard memory to safely store your videos on the device. The SoloCam operates on Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice assistants. Camera Specifications: The SoloCam can shoot video at 2K resolution (2560 x 1920). Its wide 135° viewing angle covers a wide area. The camera has an IP67 rating to withstand all types of weather. Built-in artificial intelligence (AI) identifies human activity and focuses the camera on the human in the image. The camera has a built-in microphone and speaker to let you communicate directly to visitors or intruders via 2-way audio.
Motion Detection: When the S40 SoloCam detects motion, it automatically turns on its spotlight and starts a video recording. An alert is sent to your phone through the eufy Security app. It recognizes the difference between a human and other creatures, and learns as it goes to improve accuracy to 99%, reducing false alerts. In the camera settings page of the app, you can set the motion sensitivity as needed. If you need a closer look, you can magnify the image up to 8 times in the app. You can even define two specific Activity Zones within the camera\’s view to reduce the number of false alerts.
Spotlight/Siren: The camera features a bright 600 lumen LED spotlight that automatically turns on when motion is detected. In the eufy Security app, you can turn the spotlight on or off manually, set a schedule, and adjust the spotlight brightness. The camera also has a loud 90dB siren that you can trigger from the app to scare away intruders.
Night Vision: Powerful infrared lights provide reliable night vision to help capture more motion. With the help of the built-in spotlight, the camera\’s night vision is in full color out to about 26 feet (8 meters).
Built-in Memory: The camera is equipped with 8 GB of built-in memory (eMMC – embedded MultiMediaCard). That\’s enough to store up to 2 months of recorded videos. Your videos are protected by AES128 encryption.
Forever Power: The S40 SoloCam is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery. On the top of the camera is a 4" x 3" SunPower solar panel that keeps the battery charged. It can collect and store between 150 and 300 mAh in a day. The camera only needs approximately 2 hours of direct sunlight per day (50-100 mAh) to stay charged all day. No more bringing the cameras inside to charge the battery.
Mounting: The camera is totally wire-free, making it easy to install. It should be mounted between 7 and 10 feet above the ground in a location that can provide at least 2 hours of direct sunlight per day. The mounting location should also be within range of your home\’s Wi-Fi router. The screw-on mounting bracket is adjustable.
eufy Security App: The eufy Security app lets you view live or recorded video from your smartphone or tablet, plus engage visitors through two-way audio. You can set up motion detection and customize activity zones in the critical areas around your home. When motion is detected, the app will send you instant notifications. The app lets you make adjustments to the motion detection, set the video quality, and other settings. The app is compatible with Android devices running operating system 5.0 and up, and iOS devices running iOS 11.0 or later. The videos can be viewed on a web portal instead of your phone, and on Macs running macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip.
Voice Assistants: The S40 SoloCam 3 system can be controlled by Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. You can see what\’s happening around your home at any time with live video feeds. Smart displays, such as the Google Nest Hub or the Amazon Echo Show, can display the live video feed at any time.
