Overview: The eufy Video Doorbell 2K (Model T8212111) lets you see who is at your door in 2K HD clarity. The Video Doorbell operates on the built-in rechargeable battery, with an option for hardwiring to existing doorbell wiring to keep it charged. In addition to the Video Doorbell, the package includes a Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime, which includes a 16 GB microSD card to store your video clips. The camera and Doorbell Chime connect wirelessly to each other, and the Chime to your router via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz). Using the Eufy Security app, you can receive notifications whenever someone approaches your door, and view live video from the video doorbell on your smartphone or tablet. Doorbell Camera: The Video Doorbell 2K produces beautiful 2K HD video. Its 4:3 aspect ratio (2590 x 1920) provides an expanded field of view, particularly vertically, which gives you a full head-to-toe view of your visitors.

Mounting: The doorbell comes with a bracket for surface-mounting the doorbell. The recommended mounting height is 48" from the ground. A 15° mounting wedge is provided to aim the camera toward the center of the door, which may provide a better viewing angle of a visitor at your door. When you have determined the mounting location, you can mark the screw holes using the provided Screw Hole Positioning Card. Screws and wall anchors are provided for mounting the bracket to the wall. Tools required for mounting the doorbell include a Phillips-head screwdriver, a power drill, and a 15/64" (6mm) drill bit. The Video Doorbell 2K is IP65-certified weatherproof, and operates in extreme temperatures from -4° and +122°F (20°C to 50°C).

Smart Detection: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a sophisticated algorithm built into the system can instantly analyze the body shape and face patterns of approaching visitors to detect only human activity. This helps prevent alerts being sent when the neighbor\’s dog passes through the yard. In the Eufy Security app, you can draw a customized motion detection Activity Zone to eliminate false alerts from high traffic areas on the street or sidewalks.

Power Requirements: The Video Doorbell 2K operates on the built-in rechargeable battery. A fully charged battery will last approximately 180 days, based on 10 doorbell events per day, and each recording lasting about 20 seconds on average. You can charge the battery with a 5V USB power port. A charger with a 1A output takes about 6 hours to charge the battery from 0% to 100%. If you are replacing an existing wired doorbell (8-24V AC wiring), you can connect the doorbell to the existing wiring to keep the batteries charged at all times.

Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime: The included Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime (T8020) contains a 16 GB microSD card for local storage which can hold up to 180 days of video clips (based on thirty 20-second video clips per day). The device will accept UHS-1 Class 10 microSD cards up to 128 GB. The Doorbell Chime has military-grade 256-bit data encryption to protect your video footage safe during transmission and storage. The Video Doorbell communicates with the Doorbell Chime via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz only), and should be within 20-30 feet of each other. The Doorbell Chime communicates with your smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. It plugs into a nearby AC outlet via its integrated AC plug. Eufy Security App: The Eufy Security app lets you view live video from your smartphone or tablet, plus engage the visitor at your door through two-way audio. You can also record three instant responses that you can use if you don\’t want to engage with your visitor live. The app is compatible with Android devices running operating system 5.0 and up, and iOS devices running iOS 11.0 or later. The Video Doorbell can be viewed on a web portal instead of your phone, on PCs (Windows 10 or 11), and on Macs running macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip.

Voice Assistants: The eufy Video Doorbell 2K can be connected to Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant so you can see what\’s happening outside your door at any time. Smart displays, such as the Google Nest Hub or the Amazon Echo Show, will "show you the front door" if you ask via voice command. In addition, any Amazon Echo voice assistant can be used as a doorbell chime, if desired.
