Features

Overview: The Lorex Fusion 2K Wi-Fi Floodlight Security Camera (W452ASDB-E) can illuminate your front yard, back yard, or driveway while watching for unwanted intruders at the same time. The floodlight camera is hardwired to an existing light fixture, so it is constantly powered. Its dual adjustable LED floodlights can be set to activated by motion detection, automatically on a schedule, or manually. The camera captures 2K video day or night over a wide area. The Floodlight Camera is IP65 weather-resistant, and comes with hardware for installing.

Camera: The camera has a 4MP 1/2.8" CMOS image sensor to capture 2K (2560 x 1440) video at 15 fps. It has High Dynamic Range (HDR), automatic white balance and gain control, and 3D Temporal noise reduction for optimal picture quality. It records in H.265 or H.264 video and G711 audio codecs. The camera can track, follow, and zoom in on a person or vehicle within its field of view (in Live View).

Local Storage: The Floodlight Camera is equipped with a slot for a microSD card. A 32 GB card is included, however, the camera supports up to 256 GB cards. Cards must be formatted into FAT32 on your computer. Because the video is stored locally, there is no need for fee-based cloud storage.

DVR/NVR Compatible: In addition to local storage on the camera, you can connect the Floodlight Camera to a compatible Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or Network Video Recorder (NVR) system. The video is still stored locally, but the capacity of the DVR/NVR is much higher. The 2K Wi-Fi Floodlight Camera is compatible with the following systems:

  • DVR Systems: D863-series, D881-series
  • NVR Systems: N841-series, N842-series, N843-series, N844-series, N845-series, N846-series, N847-series, N861B-series N862B-series, N863-series, N864-series, N910-series

Lens: The camera features a 2.8mm fixed focal length lens with an f/1.6 aperture and variable shutter speed of 1/3s to 1/100,000s. It has a wide field-of-view of 122° diagonal, 104° horizontal, and 55° vertical. The camera body is mounted on a swivel so you can aim the camera is the desired direction.

Night Vision: Equipped with powerful 850nm infrared LEDs, the camera can record day or night. In low light or total darkness, the camera can see up to 33 feet away. In low light (minimum 0.005 lux), the camera records in color. In total darkness (0 lux) the camera records in black and white.

Two-way Talk: The 2K Floodlight Camera has a microphone and speaker built-in to let you listen to and speak directly to anyone on your property through the Lorex app. If you\’re busy, you can send a pre-recorded Quick Response from the app to speak for you.

Motion Detection: Below the camera lens is a large PIR (Passive Infrared) Motion Detector with a wide 270° horizontal field of view. It senses the infrared energy that emanates from people, animals, and vehicles. When motion is detected, the camera will turn on the spotlights and start recording. Smart Motion Detection recognizes the difference between human, animal, and vehicle motion, and will send you detailed notifications about who or what is on your property. In the Lorex app, you can adjust the distance at which motion will activate the floodlights. You can also define the zone(s) where you want motion detection applied.

Floodlights: The 2K Wi-Fi Floodlight Security Camera features two bright 5000K LED floodlights. You can adjust the brightness of the floodlights from 1500 to 2400 lumens. The color temperature of the LEDs is variable from warm to cool white. Each individual floodlight can be rotated, tilted, or swiveled to illuminate a specific area of your yard. The lights activate automatically when motion is detected. By default, the duration is set to one minute, however, you can adjust it in the Lorex app to 5, 10, or 20 minutes. The app also lets you activate the LED floodlights manually, or set a daily schedule for the lights to follow.

Siren: The Floodlight Camera has a built-in siren to deter any unwanted visitors. It can be set to activate when motion is detected, or triggered remotely from the Lorex App.

Wi-Fi: The camera operates on Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) on the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz band. A minimum internet speed of 10 Mbps or higher is recommended for optimal performance. The Lorex app lets you monitor and control the camera with your smartphone. On the view screen, you can access and play back recorded videos, watch live video, and take snapshots. With the touch of a button, you can turn on the microphone for two-way talk, trigger the siren, turn on or off the floodlights, and start a manual recording.

Installation: The Wi-Fi Floodlight Camera is hardwired to your home\’s 110V-240V 50/60Hz AC wiring. It comes with a mounting bracket to install it directly to an existing junction box, or it can be installed directly to a wall or under a soffit. Three wires will need to be connected using the included wire nuts: ground (green), neutral (white), and hot (black). It is recommended that you mount the floodlight camera approximately 10 feet above ground for optimal detection of human-sized objects as far as 32 feet away.

Lorex App: The Lorex App (formerly Lorex Home) gives you easy access to recordings on your Lorex security camera. When your camera detects motion, you will receive an instant motion alert notification on your smartphone, allowing you to view live video on your device. Using the app, you can see, hear, and respond to a person on your property using two-way talk. The app lets you configure advanced motion detection functions and system settings. Access to your cameras and security system can be shared with family or friends, if desired. The Lorex Home app is compatible with Apple iPhone and iPod touch with iOS 10.0 or later. It also works with Apple TV (requires tvOS 9.0 or later) and a Mac with macOS 11.0 or later and Apple M1 chip or later. The app is also compatible with Android devices running version 5.0 and up.

Voice Assistants: The Lorex 2K Wi-Fi Floodlight Security Camera can be linked with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant. Smart displays, such as the Google Nest Hub or the Amazon Echo Show, will show you the view from your camera with a voice command. You can also use it with Chromecast or Firestick to monitor your footage on a larger screen.
