With 2K maximum video resolution, a wide 164° viewing angle, and Night Vision, you\’ll have a clear view, even in low light. The Wi-Fi Video Doorbell is compatible with 16V-24V existing doorbell wiring and works with both traditional mechanical or electronic digital chimes. The package includes a doorbell chime kit, and a 32 GB microSD card for storing your recorded video clips. You can view live video and recorded clips on the Lorex Home App, and answer the door, even if you\’re not at home. The camera is compatible with Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant. Doorbell dimensions: Width 1.779", Height 5.174", Depth 0.889"; Weight: 4 ounces.
Doorbell Camera: The 2K Wi-Fi Video Doorbell (Wired) produces beautiful 2K (2590 x 1920) HD video, which is more than 2x higher than 1080p. Its 4:3 aspect ratio provides an expanded field of view, particularly vertically, which gives you a full head-to-toe view of your visitors. The camera is set to 1080p resolution by default. You can set the video resolution in the Lorex Home app to 2K (2590 x 1920), 1080p (1920 x 1080), or D1 (720 x 480). The camera also features HDR (High Dynamic Range), which automatically corrects the exposure of your video when the lighting is not ideal.
Lens: The camera has an ultra wide-angle lens with a 164° diagonal viewing angle. The camera offers up to 8x digital zoom for a closer look.
Night Vision: The camera is equipped with high powered Infrared LEDs (850mm) with an IR Cut Filter to enable the camera to record in color in the dark.
Wi-Fi: The Video Doorbell connects to your home network (802.11 b/g/n/ac) over 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi. Proper operation requires a high-speed internet connection with a minimum upload speed of 3.5 Mbps.
Memory: The 2K Wi-Fi Video Doorbell (Wired) has a 32 GB microSD memory card for safely storing recorded videos. You can upgrade the card to a maximum of 256 GB for more storage capacity. With local storage, you don\’t need to pay a monthly fee for cloud-based storage.
Optional Plug-in Chime Box: The Wi-Fi Video Doorbell works with the optional Lorex Wi-Fi Chimebox. It connects to the doorbell camera via Wi-Fi and rings when someone presses your doorbell. It has an array of ringtones, four different volume settings, and a mute setting when you want some quiet time. It simply plugs into an AC outlet.
Quick Responses: You can record or select a pre-recorded voice message in the Lorex Home app. If you\’re not able to come to the door when a visitor calls, you can play back one of three available Quick Responses from the app.
Warning / Night Light: On the bottom of the doorbell is a light that can be configured as a warning light with different color settings, or a night light to illuminate the door area. In the Lorex Home app, you can configure the LED color on the warning light or the doorbell status indicator (surrounding the doorbell button) according to the motion/person detection alert type. In Night Light mode, you can light up the area near the door when it gets dark.
Motion/Person Detection: The 2K Video Doorbell offers Motion Detection to alert you of activity in front of your door. The camera uses AI to determine if a person has been spotted at your door, and will specifically issue a Person Detection notification. In the app, you can adjust the sensitivity of both Motion and Person Detection features, and define the Motion Zones for each.
Mounting: The doorbell comes with a bracket for surface-mounting. If you\’d like to change the angle of the doorbell to obtain a better view, two mounting wedges are included. The 15° horizontal wedge aims the doorbell camera left or right, while the 5° vertical mounting wedge aims it lower or higher. When you have determined the mounting location, you can mark the screw holes using the mounting bracket. Screws and wall anchors are provided for securing the bracket to the wall. Tools required for mounting the doorbell include a Phillips-head screwdriver and a power drill. A 15/64" (6mm) drill bit is included. The 2K Wi-Fi Video Doorbell (Wired) is IP65-certified weatherproof, and operates in extreme temperatures from -4° and +122°F (20°C to 50°C).
Wiring: The 2K Wi-Fi Video Doorbell (Wired) requires existing 16-24 VAC wiring. If your house doesn\’t have this voltage, you will need a 16-24 VAC doorbell transformer. After turning off the power to the doorbell, you should connect the two wires to the two Phillips-head screws on the back of the doorbell. If the wiring is too short, you can extend the wiring with the two supplied 3" wire jumpers and wire nuts.
Optional Power Adapter: You can provide 24/7 power to the 2K Wi-Fi Video Doorbell with the optional Doorbell Power Adapter (sold separately). The power adapter provides continuous power to your doorbell, even if you don\’t have pre-existing doorbell wiring or a compatible transformer.
USB Power: The doorbell can be powered permanently using the included USB cable, but it will not be able to connect to a chime box. The doorbell requires a minimum 2 Amp USB power supply (not included).
Chime Kit: You must first determine the type of doorbell chime you have: mechanical or electronic. If they are mechanical chimes, you will need to connect the supplied Chime Kit to the chime terminals.
Lorex Home App: The Lorex Home app gives you easy access to recordings on your Lorex security camera or video doorbell. When your camera detects motion, you will receive an instant motion alert notification on your smartphone, allowing you to view live video on your device. Using the app, you can see and respond to a person at your door or on your property using two-way talk. The app lets you configure advanced motion detection functions and system settings. Access to your cameras and security system can be shared with family or friends, if desired. The Lorex Home app is compatible with Apple iPhone and iPod touch with iOS 10.0 or later. It also works with Apple TV (requires tvOS 9.0 or later) and a Mac with macOS 11.0 or later and Apple M1 chip or later. The app is also compatible with Android devices running version 5.0 and up.
Voice Assistants: The Lorex 2K Wi-Fi Video Doorbell (Wired) can be linked with Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant. Smart displays, such as the Google Nest Hub or the Amazon Echo Show, will show you the front door if you ask via voice command. The voice assistant can also answer the doorbell with a voice command.
