Overview: The Philips Hue Wall Switch Module turns an ordinary light switch into a smart switch. The module fits behind the wall switch and connects to the switch with the included wire connectors. The battery-powered Wall Switch Module requires the Hue Bridge (sold separately, or as part of a starter kit) to operate. Dimensions: Width 1.7" Height 1.5" Depth 0.4"; Weight 0.6 ounces.

Operation: The Wall Switch Module lets you use existing wall switches to control your Philips Hue smart lights. The switch can be set up to toggle between three light scenes, and can control an individual light or for an entire room or zone.

Installation: Installing the module requires some basic knowledge of home electrical wiring. A qualified electrician is recommended. You should always turn off the circuit breakers to the wall switch before beginning the installation. After the module is installed, the connected lights on the circuit stay powered on and "reachable" from the Hue Bridge. You can turn the connected lights on and off, dim/brighten, and change color using the Philips Hue app.

Module Power: The Wall Switch Module is powered by a user-replaceable CR2450 coin cell battery (included). The estimated lifetime of a CR2450 battery is greater than 5 years.
