Overview: The new Sennheiser HD 5 series of headphones
feature a contemporary design with a soft, padded headband and ear cups.
Featuring Sennheiser\’s proprietary transducer technology and E.A.R. (Ergonomic
Acoustic Refinement) design, the HD 5 series headphones deliver excellent sound
quality from your smart device or home stereo system. The HD 599 model comes
with a 10\’ cable with a 1/4" (6.3mm) plug for your home stereo, and a 51" cable
with a 3.5mm straight plug for your portables. A 1/4"-to-3.5mm adapter is
included, allowing you to use the 10\’ cable with a device or component with a
3.5mm headphone jack.

Open Back Design: The HD 599 headphones headphones feature
an open back design that lets you be a part of your listening environment.
Sennheiser\’s E.A.R. technology directs the sound directly to your ears to give
you a natural sounding listening experience, similar to listening to well-placed
loudspeakers. The high-end transducers used in the HD 5 series delivers deep,
satisfying bass with clean, smooth mids and highs.

Stylish: The elegant look of the HD 599 is highlighted by
the matte metallic detailing on the ear cups and stylish ivory color scheme. The large soft
padded detachable ear pads are covered in plush brown velour, while the wide padded headband
features an elegant stitched brown leather cover.

Cable: The HD 599 comes with a high-quality 10\’ cable with a
full-size 1/4" (6.3mm) plug, designed for plugging into your home stereo
equipment. You can also use the headphones in the recording studio for mixing or
monitoring live performances. A 1/4"-to-3.5mm adapter is included for the 10\’
cable so you can listen to your smartphone, tablet, or other device equipped
with a mini-jack. The adapter has a large diameter that will likely interfere
with your smartphone or tablet case, preventing you from completely inserting
the plug into the device. Also included is a shorter 51" cable with a
straight 3.5mm plug for listening to your devices on the go. (You will have to control
your music manually on the device, as there is no in-line remote on this cable.)
