Product Research

Features

Overview: The Sennheiser Accentum Plus Wireless (ACPAEBT)
headphones have a closed circum-aural (over-the-ear) design with Bluetooth
5.2 technology and Hybrid Adaptive ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). The headphones come
with a
USB charging cable (USB-A to USB-C) that can also be used to stream music or content from your PC or Mac. Also included is an analog audio cable for connecting to a smartphone or other portable device. The robust rechargeable battery gives you up to 50 hours of playback time on a single charge. When you\’re finished listening or travelling, you can store the headphones in the provided zippered travel case.

Drivers: Accentum Plus Wireless is equipped with 37mm Dynamic drivers to deliver the Sennheiser Signature Sound, with crisp, deep bass and brilliant highs. The drivers are angled inside the earcup to create a wide, immersive sound stage.

Bluetooth: The Accentum Plus Wireless headphones have Bluetooth
version 5.2 which pairs to your phone or audio device in seconds. You can
make and receive phone calls and stream audio wirelessly in a range of up to
33\’, depending upon environmental conditions. The following codecs are supported: SBC, AAC, aptX, and aptX Adaptive. The headphones also support the
following profiles — HFP, HSP, AVRCP, and A2DP. The headphones can save the connection profiles of up to six Bluetooth devices to which they have been paired. Pairing the seventh device overwrites the profile of the least used Bluetooth device. Up to 2 active connections can be paired at the same time (multi-point).

Passive Listening: The included 49" audio cable lets you listen to your audio source when you can\’t (or don\’t want to) listen via Bluetooth. This includes when the headphone\’s battery is exhausted, or when wireless transmission is not allowed. The cable plugs into the right earcup\’s 2.5mm sub mini jack, and into your source device via the right-angled 3.5mm plug. When you connect the cable, the Bluetooth wireless connection is deactivated. Functions for controlling music, phone calls, or the voice assistant are not available. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) can be used as long as there is sufficient battery power.

aptX Adaptive: When your connected wireless audio source supports aptX Adaptive, you can listen to your content in crisp, HD-quality sound. aptX Adaptive offers a dynamic Low Latency (LL) mode to help keep the audio and video perfectly in sync. The bit rate adjusts to provide seamless audio and fewer dropouts. If the device is not equipped with aptX or AAC (Advanced Audio Coding), the music will be streamed in the
standard quality mode (SBC).

Touch Pad: The right earcup is equipped with a touch pad that lets you control music playback and phone calls with a tap or swipe. It also has a multi-function button for power on/off, pairing, muting audio, or activating the voice assistant. Forward and backward swipes are used for skipping music tracks, and for accepting and ending calls. Tap and touch/hold actions can pause/play music and rejecting calls, or putting calls on hold. Vertical swipes can raise and lower the volume. In the Sennheiser Smart Control app, you can customize the touch controls, or deactivate the touch pad to prevent unintentional actions.

Smart Pause: Accentum Plus features a sensor that can detect when you\’re wearing the headphones, and when you take them off. If Smart Pause is activated (in the app), you can use the following functions:

  • During music playback, the music pauses when you remove the headphones, and resumes playback when you put them back on.
  • When a phone call comes in, the call is accepted when you put on the headphones.
  • During a call, the microphones are muted with you take off the headphones, and unmuted when you put them back on.

Microphones: The headphones are equipped with four (2 per earcup) omni-directional MEMS microphones for speech pickup. This 2×2 beamforming array helps to block external noise and enhance your voice for clear phone calls, and for giving commands to your voice assistant. In addition, there are two microphones on top of each earcup, one directed inward and one directed outward, for active noise cancellation (ANC).

Active Noise Cancellation: The Accentum Plus Wireless headphones feature Adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The ANC microphones pick up ambient noise outside and inside the earcups. The headphones cancel the ambient noise with an equal, but opposite, audio signal. The Adaptive ANC dynamically adjusts to changing noise levels to provide a noise-free listening environment. ANC is most effective with low-frequency noise, such as HVAC systems, airline noise, and machinery. In the Sennheiser Smart Control app, you can adjust the settings for ANC, including enabling the Wind Noise Reduction feature. You can set Wind Noise Reduction to Max, Auto, or Off.

Transparency Mode: The Transparency Mode lets you stay aware of your surroundings while wearing the headphones. It lets you carry on conversations, listen to important announcements, or hear street noise and nearby traffic. Double-tapping the touch panel on the right earcup, you can activate Transparency Mode and mute your music playback to let you hear only ambient sounds. Another double-tap deactivates Transparency Mode and unmutes your music playback to mix with ambient sounds.

Smart Control App: The Sennheiser Smart Control app lets you control and personalize the Accentum Plus Wireless headphones to your needs and convenience. In addition to configuring the Adaptive Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode features (described above), the app offers various sound modes and a 5-band equalizer for adjusting the sound to your liking. Using your smartphone\’s touch screen, you can make adjustments to the sound by moving an onscreen dot up or down to raise or lower the selected frequencies. The latest settings made in the app are stored in the headphones, and will be active the next time you use the headphones, whether you use the app or not. You can deactivate the EQ by touching the center dot on the EQ graph to "center" the settings. The Smart Control app is available for iOS devices (requires Version 13.0 or later), Apple Vision (requires visionOS 1.0 or later), and Android devices (requires Version 8.0 and up).

Rechargeable Battery: The Accentum Plus Wireless headphones are powered by
an internal, 5-volt, 700 mAh (2.96 Wh) Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The battery
charges in about 3.5 hours via USB power (5V-700mA max) using the supplied USB cable from
a laptop, an AC-powered USB charging port, or a mobile 12-volt USB charging
port. A 10-minute Quick Charge gives you up to 5 hours of playtime. A fully-charged battery provides up to 50 hours of music playback using both
Bluetooth and Active Noise Cancellation. You can keep track of the remaining
battery life through the multi-color LED and voice prompts, as well as on your connected smartphone or tablet.

Voice Assistant: The Accentum Plus Wireless headphones is compatible with the Voice Assistant that is available on your mobile device, including Google Assistant and Siri. You can set up your Voice Assistant using the Smart Control app, and activate it using the Multi-Function button on the right earcup.
