Overview: The Philips Hue Lily XL Outdoor Spotlight Extension consists of an LED spotlight that lets you add color to your landscape, highlight objects, or illuminate dark areas of your yard. As part of the White and Color Ambiance series the Outdoor Spotlight can produce white light from warm white to cool daylight (2000 to 6500 Kelvin) and 16-million colors. Control of the brightness and color requires wireless connection to the Hue Bridge (sold separately, or included in a Hue Starter Kit). This package includes an outdoor spotlight, 7\” ground spike, shaft extension, and extension cable. It does not include a power supply. The Spotlight Extension must be combined with the Lily XL Spotlight Base Unit (sold separately) which includes the needed power supply.

Outdoor Spotlight: The Lily XL Outdoor Spotlight is roughly 4" high and 4.4" in diameter, and is made of durable black textured aluminum. The cylinder has a rating of IP65, which means the fixture is dust tight and protected from moisture, including jet spray from your sprinkler system. The fixture features a white translucent lens with a Wi-Fi controlled LED light. The package includes an 8-foot power cable extension for the spotlight. The spotlight has a 1200-lumen output, yet it only consumes 15 watts of power. The built-in light bulb has an estimated lifetime of up to 25,000 hours. The Outdoor Spotlight weighs approximately 1.8 pounds.

Installing: The Lily XL Outdoor Spotlight is attached to an adjustable stand with a screw-on flange base. The stand lets you tilt the spotlight 360° to get the desired angle. The flange has two pre-drilled holes for mounting the spotlight on a flat surface such as a wall or post. The flange can be replaced by the included ground spike for installing the light at ground level. The 5" extension post can be added to raise the stand off of the ground. The spot light is powered by the included 40-watt outdoor power supply. The power supply can support any combination of Lily 8W and Lily XL 15W spotlights that does not exceed 40 total watts or 114.8\’ (35 meters) of total cable length.

Hue Compatible Products: This Lily XL Outdoor Spotlight not only works within the Philips Hue universe, but is compatible with many third party products, including many of the top voice assistants. Hue products work with Apple HomeKit (Siri), Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Cortana by Microsoft. Using simple voice commands, you can turn the lights on and off, dim or brighten the
lights, and set a light scene. In addition, other "Friends of Hue" include IFTTT (If This, Then That), Logitech, Nest, Xfinity, and SmartThings.
