Features

Overview: The Marshall Monitor II A.N.C. over-ear headphones feature Active Noise Cancellation to shut out the noisy environment so you can enjoy your music in peace. These lightweight headphones can be used with or without an audio cable. The built-in rechargeable battery gives you up to 30 hours of playback time on a single charge. You can listen via Bluetooth 5.0, or plug the headphones into your audio source. The headphones feature a collapsible design so you can fold them for easy storage in the provided canvas pouch. The Monitor II A.N.C.s also come with a coiled audio cable and a USB charging cable.

Drivers: The Monitor II A.N.C. headphones are equipped with large 40mm, custom-tuned dynamic drivers that feature a wide frequency response. The headphones deliver the signature Marshall sound with thunderous bass, smooth midrange, and crystal clear highs.

Active Noise Cancellation: The Monitor II A.N.C. over-ear headphones feature Active Noise Cancellation that blocks ambient noise to let you focus on your music. Four built-in microphones pick up external noise and the ANC circuitry introduces an opposite signal to cancel it out. All that\’s left is your music. The Monitoring Mode does the opposite — the microphones pick up the external noise and amplifies it so you can hear your surroundings and conversations without removing the headphones. You can toggle through ANC, Monitoring Mode, and Off using the ANC Mode button. You can adjust the level of noise cancelling and monitoring in the Marshall Bluetooth app.

Controls: The headphones feature three buttons for controlling your headphones:

  • Control Knob: The multi-directional control knob, located on the right ear cup, has many functions. It can turn the power on and off, and turn the volume up and down. When playing music it can play/pause, skip forward or backward, and fast forward or rewind. A single press can answer or end a call, and a double press can reject an incoming call.
  • ANC Mode Button: The ANC Mode button, also on the right ear cup, can toggle between Active Noise Cancelling and Monitoring Mode. Turning ANC off requires a 2-second press of the ANC button.
  • M-button: The M-button, located on the left ear cup, lets you switch between three different equalizer presets, or it can activate your phone\’s native voice assistant or the Google Assistant (through the app).
Note: The Marshall Bluetooth app allows you to customize the button function, if desired.

Battery: The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 30 hours of wireless playback time on a single charge with both Bluetooth and ANC active. With ANC off, playback time increases to 45 hours with Bluetooth only. The battery can be charged in approximately 2 hours when plugged in to a USB power source via the included USB-C cable. A 15-minute Quick Charge gives you approximately 5 hours of listening. While the headphones are charging, the LED indicator on the right earcup will glow from red to orange to yellow to green (0% to 100%).

Audio Cable: The Monitor II A.N.C. headphones come with a 52"
coiled cable and a right-angled 3.5mm plug for connecting to your audio source. When the cable is connected, Bluetooth will disconnect for audio streaming, however, you can still use Active Noise Cancelling as long as the headphones are powered on.

Marshall Bluetooth App: Although you can use the Monitor II A.N.Cs without an app, the companion Marshall Bluetooth app provides additional support for your headphones. With the app, you can check the battery status of the headphones at a glance, and customize the sound with the equalizer. You can select a preset EQ curve or create and save your own. The app lets you adjust the level of noise cancelling and transparency. The app also lets you customize the button controls, if desired. When firmware updates become available, you can update the headphones through the app. The Marshall Bluetooth app is available for iPhone and iPod touch (requires iOS 14.0 or later) and Android devices (requires Android 7.0 and up).
