Overview: The eufy Video Doorbell Dual (Model T8213) features two cameras in one to give you a better view of who or what is at your front door. The front camera aims straight ahead to record visitors to your door, and a second camera aims toward the floor so you can see if you have received any delivered packages. The Video Doorbell operates on the built-in rechargeable battery, and doesn\’t require existing doorbell wiring. In addition to the Video Doorbell, the package includes HomeBase 2, which includes storage for your video clips and doubles as the doorbell chime. The camera and HomeBase2 connect wirelessly to each other, and the HomeBase to your router via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Using the Eufy Security app, you can receive notifications whenever someone approaches your door or you receive a package, and view live video from the video doorbell on your smartphone or tablet. Dual Cameras: The Video Doorbell Dual produces beautiful 2K HD video through its main camera. Its 4:3 aspect ratio (2590 x 1920) provides an expanded field of view (160°), particularly vertically, which gives you a full head-to-toe view of your visitors. The camera\’s High Dynamic Range (HDR) lets you see sharp details, especially with a brightly lit background. Its down-facing camera has a 97° field of view and has a resolution of 1600 x 1200. The Video Doorbell has a microphone and speaker that allows you to communicate with visitors through two-way audio.

Mounting: The doorbell comes with a bracket for surface-mounting the doorbell. The recommended mounting height is 48" from the ground. A 15° mounting wedge is provided to aim the camera toward the center of the door, which may provide a better viewing angle of a visitor at your door. When you have determined the mounting location, you can mark the screw holes using the provided Screw Hole Positioning Card. Screws and wall anchors are provided for mounting the bracket to the wall. Tools required for mounting the doorbell include a Phillips-head screwdriver, a power drill, and a 15/64" (6mm) drill bit. The Video Doorbell Dual is IP65-certified weatherproof, and operates in extreme temperatures from -4° and +122°F (20°C to 50°C).

Dual Detection: The Video Doorbell Dual alerts you when someone approaches your door. Passive infrared (PIR) motion detection scans the area in front of the camera for body heat, while radar motion detection scans for movement. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and a sophisticated algorithm built into the system can instantly analyze the body shape and face patterns of approaching visitors to detect only human activity. Using the eufy Security app, you can program the system to recognize specific individuals such as family members. eufy Security\’s Delivery Guard feature uses AI technology to recognize when packages are laid at your doorstep, and will periodically notify you until you pick it up. In the Eufy Security app, you can draw a customized motion detection Activity Zone to eliminate false alerts from high traffic areas on the street or sidewalks.

Power Options: The Video Doorbell Dual offers two power options: battery and wired. If you don\’t have existing doorbell wiring, you can operate the camera on its built-in rechargeable battery. A fully charged battery will last approximately 6 months, based on 10 doorbell events per day, and each recording lasting about 20 seconds on average. You can charge the battery with a 5V USB power port. A charger with a 1A output takes about 6 hours to charge the battery from 0% to 100%. With a 2A charger, such as the USB port on the back of the HomeBase 2, the charging time is about 3 hours. If you have existing and working doorbell wiring (8-24V AC), you can connect the Video Doorbell to the existing wires to keep the battery charged at all times.

HomeBase 2: The included HomeBase 2 (T8010X) contains 16 GB of built-in storage which can store up to 90 days of video clips (based on 25 fifteen-second video clips per day). It is not expandable or replaceable, nor is there a slot for a memory card. HomeBase 2 has military-grade 256-bit data encryption to protect your video footage safe during transmission and storage. The Video Doorbell communicates with the HomeBase via SUB 1G Wi-Fi, and should be within 20-30 feet of each other. HomeBase works with 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not compatible with 5 GHz band), or connects to your home router via the provided Ethernet cable. HomeBase 2 has a built-in speaker that can be used as the doorbell chime. It is powered by an AC adapter (included). Dimensions: Width 3.212", Height 5.188", Depth 3.224"; Weight 9.9 ounces.

Eufy Security App: The Eufy Security app lets you view live video from your smartphone or tablet, plus engage the visitor at your door through two-way audio. You can also record three instant responses that you can use if you don\’t want to engage with your visitor live. The app is compatible with Android devices running operating system 5.0 and up, and iOS devices running iOS 11.0 or later. The Video Doorbell can be viewed on a web portal instead of your phone, on PCs (Windows 10 or 11), and on Macs running macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip.

Voice Assistants: The eufy Video Doorbell Dual can be connected to Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant so you can see what\’s happening outside your door at any time. Smart displays, such as the Google Nest Hub or the Amazon Echo Show, can "show you the front door" when asked by voice command, letting you view live video from the Video Doorbell. In addition, any Amazon Echo voice assistant can be used as a doorbell chime, if desired.
