Overview: The Nanoleaf Essentials Matter Smart Multicolor HD Lightstrip lets you add light and color to your living space. The 16.4-foot lightstrip contains 300 LEDs that emit bright colorful light that you can control. Essentials lightstrips can be controlled via the included in-line controller, wirelessly via Bluetooth, Thread, Matter over Thread, or by voice control. It is powered by a 15-watt (DC) power supply (included). You can trim the light strip by following the cut marks, however, it is not extendable.

RGBIC: The Essentials Lightstrip feature RGBIC (Red, Green, Blue, Integrated Circuit) LEDs which can emit 16 million colors and shades of white, from cool white to warm white The high density lightstrip has 60 LEDs and 60 addressable zones per meter which enable you to create dynamic lighting effects that transform your space. You can also cycle through default colors or cool-to-warm white colors, or use a color wheel to select the color output. The lightstrip can display multiple colors at the same time along the strip, including gradients, motion, and sound-reactive rhythm scenes.

Light Output: The 16.4\’ Essentials Lightstrip produces a maximum brightness of 550 lumens at full output. The light can be brightened and dimmed from 100% to 1% (in 0.1% increments) using the Nanoleaf app, voice, or the in-line controller.

Installation: Essentials Lightstrips are backed with a strong 3M VHB (very high bond) adhesive. For best results, the mounting surface should be thoroughly cleaned before attaching the lightstrip. The lightstrip can be installed at full length (16.4\’), or cut to the desired length. The Controller and 41" Controller Cable connect to the included 5\’ power cable and power supply.

Wireless Control: The Essentials Matter Smart Multicolor HD Lightstrip can be paired to your smartphone (iOS or Android) or desktop (Windows or Mac) via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz). With the free Nanoleaf app, you can set up and control the light, creating dynamic color changing scenes. You can also control the lightstrip through a Smart Home Ecosystem.

Matter: Matter is a new global Smart Home standard which is designed to make it easier for devices to connect with each other, even if they aren\’t on the same wireless platform. Many of the devices designed by Apple, Google, Amazon, and others now work with Matter. Nanoleaf Essentials LED downlights, bulbs, and lightstrips offer more features and better performance when connected via Matter over Wi-Fi. Features include Smart Home Ecosystem Integration, Voice Control, and Schedules. Connecting by Matter requires a Matter-compatible smart home hub, such as Apple HomePod mini, Apple HomePod (2nd gen), Google Home Mini, Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen), and Amazon Echo (4th gen).

Control: The Lightstrip can be controlled in a variety of ways:

• Controller: Locally, you can use the in-line Controller to turn the Lightstrip on or off, dim or brighten the light output, and to select a color. You can cycle through preset Scenes or Rhythm Scenes, and Increase or Decrease the brightness in 10% increments.
• Nanoleaf App: On your smartphone or tablet, you can control the Lightstrip wirelessly via Bluetooth. Using the app, you can turn the strip on or off, control brightness (from 1% to 100% in 0.1% increments), or change colors. The app features a color wheel that allows you to select the color output with your fingertip. Nanoleaf Lightstrips can be synced with other Nanoleaf products, such as Lines, Shapes, and Elements. The free Nanoleaf app is available from the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 14.0 or later. It is also compatible with Android devices running version 9.0 and up, and is available from Google Play. The Nanoleaf desktop app works with Windows 10 or 11, and macOS 12 and later.
• Voice Commands: You can easily control the Essentials Lightstrip by speaking a voice command to your Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, or Apple HomeKit (Siri) device (sold separately). In the Nanoleaf app, you can name your Lightstrip, then refer to it in your voice commands. Voice commands can be used to turn the lightstrip on or off, dim or brighten the strip, set it to a specific brightness (expressed in %), set it to a specific color or to a preset scene.
