It offers dual-band Wi-Fi, so your live images and recorded videos can be viewed in smooth, clear 4K resolution from anywhere. The Spotlight camera has flexible video storage options, including microSD card (not included), cloud storage, and an optional network video recorder. Camera dimensions: Width 2.393", Height 4.301", Depth 2.29"; Weight 11 ounces.
Camera: The 4K Spotlight Battery Camera has an 8MP 1/3" CMOS image sensor that produces beautiful 4K (3840 x 2160) 16:9 Ultra HD video. It has digital Wide Dynamic Range and Color Night Vision for clear views day and night. The camera features a 2.8mm fixed focal length, F1.6 lens with a wide field of view: 111° horizontal, 61° vertical, and 132° diagonal.
Spotlight: The camera is equipped with a motion-activated spotlight that illuminates the area. It can be used as a deterrent to intruders, or a welcome to expected guests when they arrive. The spotlight can be turned on or off manually, or activated automatically when motion is detected.
Night Vision: The camera is equipped with high powered Infrared LEDs to enable the camera to record video in dark or low light conditions. The PIR (passive IR) lights are effective over a 120° arc, and enable night vision out to 32 feet. Color Night Vision works better with ambient lighting and when the spotlight is on. If conditions are too dark, the infrared LEDs are used to record clear images in black and white.
Dual-band Wi-Fi: The 4K Spotlight Battery Camera can connect to your home\’s Wi-Fi network (802.11 b/a/g/n/ac) over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The camera also works with Amazon Alexa and Hey Google voice assistants.
Memory Options: The camera offers three options for storing your recorded videos:
- microSD Card: You can store months of videos locally by inserting a microSD card (not included). Based on fifty 10-second daily events, a 32 GB card can store up to 3 months of recordings, while a 256 GB card (maximum capacity) can store 24 months worth of recorded clips.
- Lorex Cloud Storage: If you have a stable internet connection and the Lorex app, you can upload your recordings to Lorex Cloud Storage. Recordings are available for 30 days, and are accessible anytime and anywhere. Lorex Cloud Storage plans are available for $2.99/month or $29.99/year for a single camera, or $9.99/month or $99.99/year for an unlimited number of cameras in one location. (Prices current as of October 2024)
- Lorex Fusion NVR: With an optional Lorex Fusion Network Video Recorder (NVR), you can save your videos without a monthly fee. If the camera is continuously powered via USB, you can record 24/7 to the NVR, if desired.
Motion Detection: The 4K Spotlight Battery Camera uses Motion Detection to alert you of activity around your home. With In-Camera Edge AI and advanced algorithms, persons and vehicles are identified to provide specific motion alerts to your smartphone.
Two-way Audio: The camera features a microphone and a speaker that enable two-way communication. With the Lorex app, you can talk and listen to the person on the camera. If you are busy, you can use an appropriate preset Quick Response.
Siren: The camera has an extra level of deterrence with its remote-triggered siren. The siren can be manually triggered from the Lorex app to scare away uninvited visitors.
Mounting: The 4K Spotlight Battery Camera can be mounted using its new and improved mounting bracket. The supplied mounting plate attaches to a wall or other exterior surface with the included hardware. An adhesive-backed mounting template will help you pre-drill the screw holes. The mounting bracket fits over the plate and snaps into place with two spring-loaded tabs. The bracket has a ball-and-socket swivel that lets you aim the camera in the optimum position. The camera and bracket are easy to detach from the mounting plate by pressing the spring-loaded tabs. The camera has an IP65 weather-resistance rating, and can withstand a variety of weather conditions and temperatures. It can operate within a temperature range of -4°F to +122°F (-20°C to 50°C).

A 10-watt (5V-2A) power adapter can charge the battery in 4 to 6 hours, while a 5V-1A adapter takes 6-8 hours. The battery can be removed from the camera for charging, as it can plug directly into the USB cable and charging adapter. The battery, when fully charged, will provide up to 180 days of battery life (based on 5 events per day). The camera is compatible with the Lorex Solar Panel for Battery-operated Cameras (ACSOL3), which can keep the battery fully charged indefinitely. For a more permanent installation, you can plug the camera into a USB power adapter to continuously power the camera 24/7, and enable additional features.
