Overview: The eufy Security C220 Smart Lock (T8506111) is an electronic deadbolt door lock with a touchscreen keypad and a fingerprint button. The Smart Lock connects to your home\’s Wi-Fi allowing you to lock and unlock the door remotely. You can choose from six different ways to unlock it, including with a physical key. With the eufy Security App on your smartphone or tablet, you can control and monitor the door lock even when you\’re away from home. If you also have a eufy Video doorbell, you can unlock the door remotely from the app as you view the person at the door. The C220 Smart Lock installs in minutes with the included hardware.

Construction: The C220 Smart Lock is certified Grade 3 security from BHMA (Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association) Testing Standards after rigorous testing to ensure decades of reliability. The testing of 100,000 locks/unlocks, 72 hours of salt spray, 144 hours of humidity, and 2000N pressure resistance. All of your personal data, including access code, is protected with bank-grade security chip encryption (AES128 + ECC). The external assembly has an IP54 rating so it is resistant to inclimate weather. It works in extreme temperatures between -22°F and 158°F (-30°C to 70°C).

Compatibility: The Smart Lock is compatible with doors and door frames with the following dimensions:

• Crossbore Diameter: 2-1/8" or 1-1/2"
• Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4"
• Minimum Distance (from door handle): 1-49/64" (1.77")
• Diameter of Door Hole: 1"
• Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2-11/64"

Lock/Unlock Methods: The Smart Lock can be locked and unlocked in a variety of ways:

• Keys: The lock comes with two physical keys to allow you to operate the deadbolt lock in a traditional way. From the inside, you can lock/unlock using the thumb lever on the lock assembly. Note: The keys can be copied, however, the lock cannot be re-keyed.
• Fingerprint: Pressing your finger on the fingerprint button (located above the keypad) will unlock the Smart Lock in less than 0.3 seconds. Over time, the AI fingerprint sensors improve their accuracy and become more efficient at identifying users. Up to 50 fingerprints can be stored in its memory.
• Passcode: The lock can be operated by entering a 4-to-8 digit numeric passcode on the backlit electronic keypad. The lock can store up to a total of 100 passcodes in its memory. You can provide temporary passcodes for family, guests, or service people, then delete them when they\’re no longer needed. The door can be manually locked using One-Touch Locking, long-pressing the Lock/Cancel button on the keypad.
• eufy Security App: Using the eufy Security app, you can lock and unlock the Smart Lock remotely using your smartphone or tablet. You can connect your phone to the lock\’s built-in Wi-Fi or via Bluetooth to operate. The lock also connects to your home\’s Wi-Fi network, so you can lock or unlock your door from anywhere, even if you\’re not at home.
• Voice Assistant: The C220 Smart Lock can be locked and unlocked using voice commands using Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can use phrases such as "OK Google, unlock the front door" or "Alexa, lock the side door" to operate the smart lock.
• Apple Watch: With the eufy Security app on your Apple Watch, you can lock or unlock your door from anywhere. The watch will pair with the door lock\’s built-in Wi-Fi or via Bluetooth to operate the door.

Scramble Passcode: If you live in a high traffic area with neighbors frequently passing by, you can use a scramble passcode to gain access. A scramble passcode is a series of random numbers (no more than 12) that you can input to prevent others from spying on your actual access code. Your actual passcode should be in the middle of the random numbers in order to unlock the door. For example, if your actual passcode is 2468, you can enter "111124689999" to unlock the door. The Scramble Passcode feature must be enabled in the eufy Security app.

Wrong-Try Protection: The lock has Wrong-Try Protection to prevent strangers from trying to unlock your lock using random passcodes. If an incorrect passcode is entered too many times in a row, a lockdown period will occur. The number of wrong-try attempts (3 to 10, default 5) and duration of lockdown time (1 to 5 minutes, default 3 minutes) are adjustable in the eufy Security app. You can also enable/disable Wrong-Try Protection in the app.

Automatic Lock: On the eufy Security App, you can enable the Automatic Lock feature to "on." When the door is closed, the Smart Lock will detect whether the door is locked. If not, the door will be locked automatically after the time duration you have set. You must calibrate the lock during initial setup for the Auto Lock feature to function. The Smart Lock is not compatible with the Auto-Unlock feature.

Notifications: Each time the C220 Smart Lock is locked or unlocked, it sends a notification to your smartphone through the eufy Security app.

Firmware Updates: When the Smart Lock is connected to your home\’s Wi-Fi, it will automatically update the firmware overnight. You can also manually update the firmware through the eufy Security app when they become available.

Battery Power: The Smart Lock is powered by eight "AA" alkaline batteries (included), twice as many as most smart locks with built-in Wi-Fi. Based on an average of 10 operations per day, the batteries can last up to 8 months. When battery power is low (under 10%), the Smart Lock will emit an audible voice prompt to remind you to replace the batteries as soon as possible. If the batteries become exhausted before you can replace them, you can use a portable charger and a USB-C cable to gain emergency access.

eufy Security App: The eufy Security app lets you control the C220 Smart Lock from your smartphone or tablet. The app allows you to lock or unlock the Smart Lock when paired via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. If your device is connected to Wi-Fi, you can control the Smart Lock from virtually anywhere, even if you\’re not at home. The app will also keep a log of each time the Smart Lock is locked or unlocked. The app is compatible with Android devices running operating system 8.0 and up, and iOS devices running iOS 11.0 or later. It can also be loaded onto Apple Watch (watchOS 7.1 or later) and Apple Vision (visionOS 1.0 or later).
