Features

Overview: The Denon PerL Pro True Wireless Earbuds (AH-C15PL) bring you the vivid Denon Signature Sound. With powerful Masimo Adaptive Acoustic Technology (AAT), you can tailor the sound to your hearing and personal tastes. The earbuds feature Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling to help you tune out distractions, and Social Mode to keep you aware of your surroundings. PerL Pro is IPX4-rated for weather and sweat resistance, so you can wear them in the rain or while you workout. The earbuds come with five pairs of ear tips, two pairs of wings, a charging case, and USB charging cable.

Bluetooth: PerL Pro connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth 5.3, and supports SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Classic codecs. The earbuds can remember up to 8 devices (once they have been initially paired). PerL Pro can enter discoverable mode by tapping and holding the touch buttons on both earbuds simultaneously for 2 seconds, or by the Device Settings in the Denon Headphones app. You can be connected to two devices simultaneously (multipoint) and switch between them.

aptX Lossless: The PerL Pro true wireless earbuds let you hear your music the way the artist intended through aptX Lossless technology from Qualcomm. Typically, audio is compressed and decompressed in the Bluetooth wireless process, causing data to be lost and the quality of the music to deteriorate. Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless retains all of the original content, bit for bit, so you get to hear the music the way it was recorded originally.

Dirac Virtuo™: The Dirac Virtuo audio platform provides an immersive sound experience from any standard stereo content. It makes your music sound like it\’s coming from a pair of high-end speakers in front of you, instead of tiny earbuds in your ears. The imaging and localization of sounds is more accurate, giving you a natural, spacious soundscape. You can enable or disable Spatial Audio by assigning it to one of the touch controls or within the Denon Headphones app.

Earbuds: The PerL Pro earbuds are equipped with 10mm dynamic, ultra-low distortion drivers with a triple-layer titanium diaphragm. Included in the box are four pairs of silicone ear tips in sizes Large, Medium, Small, and Extra Small. In addition, a pair of foam ear tips is included. Two pairs of secure-fit wings are included that tuck behind the folds in your outer ear (concha) to securely hold the earbuds in place. If you use the Denon Headphones app when fitting your earbuds, you\’ll get an indication when you get a good fit.

Customizable Touch Controls: The outer portion of the earbuds is touch-sensitive to let you control numerous functions with tap, double-tap, triple-tap, and double-tap and hold actions. In the Denon Headphones app, you can assign to each operation any four of the following functions: Enable/disable Social Mode, Enable/disable Social Mode+Pause, Voice Assistant, Play/Pause, Play/Pause and Answer/Hangup Calls, Next Track, Previous Track, Enable/disable Immersion Mode, Increase/decrease Immersion level, Enable/disable Spatial, and Volume Up/down.

Masimo Adaptive Acoustic Technology (AAT): Masimo AAT lets you create a unique hearing profile by playing a series of tones into your ears and measuring very faint sounds called otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), which are produced by the inner ear as a byproduct of amplifying sound. By measuring the OAEs, it can be determined which frequencies your ears are more or less sensitive to. That information is used in the Denon Headphones app to create your unique hearing profile. The app then shapes your music to match your hearing profile to make your music sound as good as possible. Up to three hearing profiles can be stored in the headphones at a time.

Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling (ANC): The Denon PerL Pro true wireless earbuds offers Adaptive Active Noise Cancelling (Adaptive ANC) to help you tune out distracting ambient noise so you can concentrate on your music or hear your phone call without interruption. Microphones on each earbud pick up ambient noise and cancels it with an opposite-phase signal. Unlike standard Active Noise Cancelling, Adaptive ANC automatically adjusts according to the loudness of the environment, the level of noise leak-through, and the quality of the seal of the ear tips.

Social Mode: When you\’re in a situation where you need to hear outside noise, you can easily switch to the Social Mode. This mode uses the same microphones to pick up outside sounds and send them into the earbuds. Social Mode lets you stay aware of your surroundings when walking near traffic, and allows you to hear public announcements when you\’re at the train station or airport. It also lets you carry on a conversation with another person without removing your earbuds.

High Gain Mode/ProEQ: If the volume level of your music is low, you can boost the volume output of the earbuds by +6dB by turning on the High Gain mode in the Denon Headphones app. You can manually fine tune the sound using the ProEQ feature in the app. The app offers a 5-band EQ with sliders to boost/cut the output of each band.

Immersion Mode: The Immersion Mode lets you adjust the bass level in the Denon Headphones app. You can raise or lower the bass level depending on the music genre or to suit your personal preferences.

Denon Headphones App: The Denon Headphones app lets you personalize your listening experience with the Denon PerL Pro earbuds. You can use the app to setup your earbuds, including getting a good seal with the proper sized ear tips. The app walks you through creating and storing your hearing profile using the Masimo Adaptive Acoustic Technology (AAT). The Denon Headphones app lets you adjust the level of immersion, check the battery status, and enable/disable ANC and Social Mode. The app is helpful in customizing the touch controls, and setting the volume and language of the voice prompts. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and requires iOS version 11.0 or later. It is also compatible with select Android smartphones and tablets running Android version 5.0 and up.

Battery Power: The PerL Pro True Wireless Earbuds and their charging case are powered by built-in rechargeable batteries. The earbuds charge inside the charging case in approximately two hours. The battery in the charging case charges in about one hour via the USB-A to USB-C cable (included). Fully charged earbuds provide approximately 8 hours of playback time. The charging case has enough power to fully charge the earbuds three additional times for a total of 32 hours of playback. A 5-minute quick charge provides up to 1 hour of playback.
