Overview: The Lorex 4K Battery-Operated Camera (Model U855AA-E) is an add-on wireless camera for the Lorex Mirage Series 4K 6-Channel 1TB Wireless NVR System (L85591-8AA4-E). It communicates with the NVR/Base via Halow Wi-Fi (< 1 GHz), which transmits long distances. Because there are no cables to run, the camera can be installed anywhere you want. It is powered by strong 3-cell Lithium-ion battery (included).

Video: The 4K Battery-Operated Camera has an 8MP 1/2.7" CMOS image sensor that produces 4K (3840 x 2160) 16:9 UHD video.

Lens: The camera has a 2.8mm fixed focal length lens with a wide f/1.6 aperture. It has a field of view that is 178° horizontal, 61° vertical, and 138° diagonal.

Video Transmission: The camera communicates with the NVR via Wi-Fi HaLow. Wi-Fi HaLow signals transmit in the less crowded frequency band below 1 GHz, and can travel a maximum of 1,968 feet.

Security Light: The camera features an extra layer of security with a motion-activated warning light.

Night Vision: The camera is equipped with powerful Infrared LEDs to enable the camera to record video in the dark or low light conditions. With Color Night Vision, the camera can record in color in low light (0.05 lux) at F1.2 and automatic gain control on. With the infrared LEDs on, it records crisp video in black & white in complete darkness (0 lux). The maximum Night Vision range is 40 feet.

Two-way Audio: The camera features a microphone and a speaker that enable two-way communication. With the Lorex Cirrus app, you can talk to and listen to the person on the camera.

Siren: The camera has an extra level of deterrence with a loud, remote-triggered siren. The siren can be manually triggered from the Lorex Cirrus app to scare away uninvited visitors.

Motion Detection: The 4K Battery-Operated Camera offers Motion Detection to alert you when there\’s activity outside your home. PIR (passive infrared) sensors recognize infrared light emitted from nearby objects to detect motion up to 35 feet in front of the camera. When motion is detected, the security light comes on, the NVR begins recording video, and the system alerts you on the Lorex Cirrus app so you can take action.

Mounting: The camera can be mounted indoors or outdoors on a wall or ceiling with the included bracket. The bracket features a swiveling mount that lets you aim the camera where you want. The camera has an IP66 weather-resistance rating, meaning it can withstand a variety of weather conditions and temperatures. It can operate in a temperature range of -4°F to +122°F (-20°C to 50°C).

Power Requirements: The camera is powered by the included ACBATTR3A-CT Lithium-ion rechargeable battery (3.7V / 8700mA / 32.19Wh). The 3-cell battery charges in approximately 4 to 6 hours, which provides enough battery life for up to 600 motion events. It charges via the included USB cable (USB-A to Micro USB) and the included AC adapter with a 5V 2A USB output.

Optional Video Storage: Video from the camera is stored in the system\’s connected Network Video Recorder (NVR). A microSD card can be inserted in the camera for optional independent video storage. You can access data through the camera using a web browser, but the video captured on the SD card will not upload to the NVR or to the cloud for mobile app viewing.
