Overview: The eufy Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi (T8520) is a secure and convenient way to lock and unlock the entry doors of your home. The Smart Lock lets you choose from six different ways to unlock it, including with a physical key. With the eufy Security App on your smartphone or tablet, you can control and monitor the door lock remotely. Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi installs in minutes with the included hardware. The Smart Lock is covered by a 3-year mechanical warranty and an 18-month electronic warranty.

Construction: The Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi is made of strong, drill-proof stainless steel and zinc alloy for maximum protection. The lock is certified Grade 2 security from BHMA (Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association) Testing Standards for durability and reliability. All of your personal data, including access code and fingerprint, is protected with AES 256 security chip encryption. The external assembly has an IP65 rating so it can withstand any kind of weather. The strong and reliable Mabuchi Motor can lock and unlock the door in less than a second. The Smart Lock is tested to last 250,000 lock/unlocks, so you\’ll know it\’ll last for decades.

Compatibility: The Smart Lock is compatible with doors and door frames with the following dimensions:

• Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4"

• Door Thickness: 1-3/8" or 2-1/8"

Fingerprint Scanner: The Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi features a fingerprint scanner that lets you unlock your door with a touch. In just 0.3 seconds, Smart Lock recognizes your fingerprint, and unlocks your door in one second. It has a 98% recognition rate due to a large sensor area (approximately 9/16" diameter), which is twice as large as the sensor on an iPhone 8. Each time you unlock the Smart Lock, the built-in AI chip continues to learn your fingerprint and improve the recognition rate. Up to 50 fingerprints can be registered to the Smart Lock. When initially setting up fingerprint access, you must register your fingerprint 8 times. It is recommended to use your thumb, index finger, or middle finger. Users over age 70 and children under 5 should use other methods of accessing the lock. After 5 consecutive failed attempts to register your fingerprint, the fingerprint scanner will be disabled, however, the access code can still be used.

Access Code: The Smart Lock has a 10-digit touchscreen keypad on the exterior assembly which you can use to access the door lock. You can use an access code of 4 to 8 characters. Up to 100 access codes can be registered to the Smart Lock. After 5 consecutive failed attempts to input the access code, neither access code or the fingerprint scanner can be used. A scramble passcode is a series of random numbers (no more than 12) that you can input to prevent others from spying on your actual access code. This is ideal for those living in areas of high traffic. You can create a temporary access code to share with neighbors, visitors, delivery drivers, and others that allows them to unlock your door during a short time frame.

Wireless Access: You can lock and unlock the Smart Lock wirelessly using your smartphone or tablet and the eufy Security App. You can pair your device to the lock via Bluetooth (5.0) or Wi-Fi.

Voice Assistants: The Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi can be locked and unlocked via voice commands using Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can use voice commands, such as "OK Google, unlock the front door" or "Alexa, lock the side door."

Key Access: The Smart Lock can be locked and unlocked the old-fashioned way with a key. The cylinder cover can be rotated out of the way to provide access to the keyhole and two keys are included.

Automatic Lock: On the eufy Security App, you can enable the Automatic Lock feature to "on." When the door is closed, the Smart Lock will detect whether the door is locked. If not, the door will be locked automatically after the time duration you have set.

Rechargeable Battery: The Smart Lock is powered by a 3.6-volt, 10000mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The battery, when fully charged, will provide up to a full year (365 days) of battery life, based on opening and closing the door 10 times a day. The removable battery charges via a Micro-USB cable (not included). If the battery becomes exhausted before you can recharge it, you can use a portable charger and a Micro USB cable to gain emergency access.

eufy Security App: The eufy Security app lets you control the Smart Lock Touch & Wi-Fi from your smartphone or tablet. The app allows you to lock or unlock the Smart Lock when paired via Bluetooth. If your device is connected to Wi-Fi, you can control the Smart Lock from virtually anywhere, even if you\’re not at home. The app will also keep a log of each time the Smart Lock is locked or unlocked. The app is compatible with Android devices running operating system 5.0 and up, and iOS devices running iOS 11.0 or later. The Video Doorbell can be viewed on a web portal instead of your phone, and on Macs running macOS 11.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip.
