Overview: This Philips Hue PAR38 outdoor floodlight bulb (577338) is designed to light up your outdoor areas with any color you want. This LED smart bulb has a standard E26 (Edison) screw base, and produces up to 16-million colors and 50,000 shades of warm white light to cool daylight. It can be controlled via Bluetooth or as part of a whole-house lighting system with the Hue Bridge (sold separately). The free Philips Hue app lets you control the lights wirelessly from your smartphone or tablet. Two PAR38 floodlight bulbs are included in this package.

Light Bulb: The Philips Hue is 4.816" at its widest point and 5.232" tall. The bulb is rated at 14 watts, and has an output equivalent to a 100W bulb. It has an estimated lifetime of 25,000 hours. Inside the bulb is a wireless interface that allows you to control the light wirelessly through the Philips Hue app. The internal software is automatically upgradable when connected to the Philips Hue bridge.

Hue Bridge Control: When the PAR38 bulb is connected to the Hue Bridge, it can be controlled as part of a Philips Hue smart lighting system. The Bridge uses Zigbee technology to connect to your Wi-Fi network. You can connect up to 50 lights throughout your entire home, and control them from anywhere in the house, or anywhere in the world. The Hue Bridge has an indoor range of about 80 feet, and an outdoor range of about 950 feet. As you add lights to your Hue Bridge system, you extend the range, as each light becomes a repeater for the Zigbee signal.

Bluetooth Control: Connecting the bulb via Bluetooth requires being within about 30 feet (9 meters). Up to 10 Philips Hue bulbs can be controlled at a time.

Philips Hue App Control: The bulb can be controlled by the Philips Hue app (Android 10.0+, iOS 16.0+). You can turn the lights on or off, dim or brighten the bulb, change the color, and apply Light "recipes" for everyday tasks. You can even control them with your voice through the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. Within the full Hue Lighting System, you can set timers and schedules, control lights away from home, set wake up and go to sleep routines, and sync the lights to your music, movies, and video games. In addition to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, you can control the bulb via voice commands with Apple HomeKit and Microsoft Cortana.

Hue Compatible Products: Hue lighting products not only work within the Philips Hue universe, but, when paired with the Hue Bridge, are compatible with many third party products, including many of the top voice assistants. In addition, other
\”Friends of Hue\” include IFTTT (If This, Then That), Logitech, Nest, Xfinity, SmartThings, august, Yale, and Lutron.
